Frozen Summer Slush will keep you cool on those hot days. This icy concoction combines the tangy flavours of lemonade and orange juice with a splash of gin. Let’s get started:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups white sugar
- 7 cups of water
- 4 tea bags
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) tin frozen orange juice concentrate
- 2 cups gin
Method of preparation:
Bring 7 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan.
Add the tea bags and allow to steep to the desired strength. Remove the tea bags.
Stir in the white sugar until dissolved, then set aside to cool.
In a separate large bowl, combine the cooled tea, boiling water, frozen Lemonade Concentrate and frozen Orange Juice Concentrate.
Stir until well combined.
Pour in the gin and stir well.
Pour into a freezer-safe container.
Freeze overnight or until firm.
To serve, scoop a few spoonfuls of the frozen slush into a tall glass.
Top with any clear carbonated drink (such as lemonade) for a sparkling finish.
Garnish with a slice of lemon or orange if you like.
