Chicken in creamy tomato-dill sauce

Delicious chicken from Polish cuisine. Prepare a tasty dinner for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillets 2
  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons + 1 tablespoon butter
  • All-purpose flour 1 tablespoon
  • Butter 1 tablespoon
  • Paprika 1 teaspoon (sweet)
  • Water 150 ml
  • Teriyaki sauce 1 tablespoon, or soy sauce
  • Tomato paste 1 tablespoon
  • Heavy cream 125 ml (30%)
  • Dill a bunch (about 2 tablespoons chopped)

Preparation:

Clean the chicken of membranes and bones, cut into smaller fillets: cut off the tenderloin – the movable part of the fillet, then cut the fillet lengthwise into 2 thinner parts. Pound with a meat mallet to an even thickness, about 1 cm. Season with salt and pepper, and lightly coat in flour. Heat a pan with olive oil. Place the chicken fillets in the pan, fry for about 2 minutes on each side. Set aside on a plate if frying the chicken in batches, and repeat with the remaining meat.

At the end of frying, sprinkle the chicken with paprika powder and add butter to the pan. Put all the meat back in the pan and keep it on the heat. Separately, mix water with teriyaki sauce, tomato paste, cream, and dill in a bowl. Pour this mixture into the pan with the meat and bring to a boil. Turn the meat over while cooking the dish for about 1 – 2 minutes, until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.
