All-American T-bone steak recipe

With just a few ingredients and steps, you can have a delicious steak meal in no time. It’s ideal for those busy days when you want a quick yet satisfying meal. T-bone steak is high in protein, which is essential for muscle growth and repair. It’s a great meal option if you’re looking to increase your protein intake.

Ingredients:

  • 700g T-bone steak
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • ½ small bunch thyme
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 50g butter

Method of preparation:

Remove your T-bone steak from the fridge and allow it to come to room temperature (about 20 minutes).

Preheat your barbecue or frying pan over a high heat.

Rub the steak with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.

Place the steak on the hot grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until cooked to your liking. You can use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature (medium-rare is usually around 135°F).

While the steak is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over a medium heat. Add the crushed garlic cloves and thyme and cook for a few minutes until fragrant.

When cooked, remove the steak from the grill or pan and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak.

Drizzle the garlic and thyme butter over the steak just before serving.
