French toast with a sweet twist is a perfect idea for a delicious breakfast.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of brioche or challah bread
- 1 large egg
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
For serving
- Salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade – RECIPE)
- Raspberry jam, fresh raspberries
Preparation:
- In a deep plate, whisk together the egg with milk and vanilla sugar.
- Dip slices of bread into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak briefly.
- Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the soaked bread slices until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and repeat on the other side.
- Remove from the pan and place on a plate.
- Drizzle with salted caramel sauce. Optionally, serve with raspberry jam and/or fresh raspberries.
