Perfectly marinated meat in beer, soy sauce, honey, and spices. This is the way to prepare pork knuckle in an oriental style.
Ingredients
- Black pepper – 1 pinch
- Bay leaf – 2 pieces
- Cloves – 2 pieces
- Pork knuckle – 400 g
- Salt – 1 pinch
Marinade:
- Garlic cloves – 3 pieces
- Honey – 3 tablespoons
- Black pepper – 1 pinch
- Beer – 400 ml
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Soy sauce – 75 g
- Ground chili – 1 pinch
Preparation
- Wash the pork knuckle, place it in a large pot, add the spices, and pour in enough water to cover the knuckle. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer until tender for about 2 to 3 hours. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Finely chop the garlic. Prepare the marinade with 250 ml of beer and the remaining ingredients.
- Score the skin of the pork knuckle, pour the marinade over the knuckle, and let it marinate for at least 2 hours, turning the knuckle occasionally in the marinade.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and set it to grill mode. Remove the knuckle from the marinade, place it on a baking sheet or in a baking dish, and bake for about 40 minutes, basting occasionally with the juices produced during baking and the remaining 150 ml of beer.
