A simple recipe for penne pasta with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes. The ingredients are combined with a creamy sauce seasoned with basil and oregano. Delicious!
Ingredients
- Penne pasta – 350 grams
- Chicken breast fillet – 1 piece
- Sun-dried tomatoes – 10 pieces
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Heavy cream – 200 milliliters
- Sun-dried tomato oil – 2 tablespoons
- Fine-grain iodized sea salt – to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Dried basil – 1/2 teaspoon
For garnish
- Fresh basil – a few leaves
- Fresh oregano – a few sprigs
Preparation
- Cook the penne pasta al dente in salted boiling water, then drain.
- Cut the chicken breast fillet into strips, season with salt and pepper, then sauté in the oil from the sun-dried tomatoes.
- Add the sliced sun-dried tomatoes and chopped garlic to the sautéed chicken. Sauté for about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer over low heat until the sauce becomes creamy and thick. Season with herbs, salt, and pepper to taste, if needed.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and heat for a moment.
- Serve the dish on plates and garnish with fresh basil and, optionally, grated Parmesan cheese.
