If you like to eat fritters, this recipe is for you. With the addition of cinnamon, Air Fryer Apple Fritters are a permanent addition to the menu of experienced gourmets!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1 cup plain Greek yoghurt
- 2 teaspoons sugar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 large apple, peeled and diced
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
Method of preparation:
In a mixing bowl, combine the self-raising flour, plain Greek yoghurt, sugar (if using) and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
Fold in the chopped apple until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Preheat the fryer to 180°C (350°F).
Using a spoon or cookie scoop, scoop the batter into fritter-sized portions and place in the fryer basket, leaving a space between each fritter.
Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Depending on the size of your fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
While the doughnuts are cooking, make the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the icing sugar and milk until smooth.
When the fritters are cooked, remove them from the fryer and leave to cool on a wire rack.
Drizzle the glaze over the warm doughnuts.
