Stuffed Mussels in Tomato Sauce

A delicious seafood appetizer.


  • 50 large mussels
  • 2 eggs
  • bread crumbs
  • 50 g mortadella
  • grated parmesan
  • parsley
  • olive oil
  • dry white wine
  • garlic
  • 300 g diced peeled tomatoes
  • milk
  • salt and pepper


Clean the mussels. Prepare the stuffing from the meat of 10 ground mussels, parsley, garlic, bread crumbs soaked in milk, parmesan, eggs, and ground mortadella. Add salt and pepper. Mix well. Fill the slightly opened mussels with the stuffing.

In a large covered dish, sauté minced garlic in olive oil, add a bit of wine and the diced tomatoes. Add the stuffed mussels and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.
