A delicious summer dessert made with crumbled meringue, whipped cream, and strawberries.
Ingredients:
- 500 g strawberries
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 300 g chilled heavy cream (30% or 36%)
- 300 g ready-made meringue (or homemade meringue, see below)
Preparation:
Wash the strawberries, dry them, and hull them. Blend 100 g of the strawberries into a puree with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar. Cut the remaining strawberries into smaller pieces and mix with the puree.
Whip the well-chilled cream until stiff peaks form, adding 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar as you whip.
Break the meringues into pieces and gently fold them into the whipped cream.
Layer the meringue-cream mixture and the strawberries with puree in serving glasses or bowls. Decorate with additional meringue pieces on top. Serve immediately.
