  • Burrata balls: 2
  • Cherry tomatoes: 200 g
  • Dried oregano: 1 teaspoon
  • Extra virgin olive oil: 3 tablespoons
  • Fresh basil
  • Chili flakes: a pinch
  • Optional: basil pesto or thick balsamic vinegar: 4 teaspoons

To serve

  • Bread (e.g., toasted baguette, ciabatta, focaccia)

Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes, then cut them in half.

Place the tomatoes in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, add dried oregano, chili flakes, extra virgin olive oil, and a few basil leaves. Mix well and set aside.

Divide half of the tomatoes onto plates, place the burrata (removed from its liquid) on top, and surround with the remaining tomatoes.

Drizzle the burrata with the remaining tomato marinade. Optionally, drizzle with pesto or thick balsamic vinegar.

Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve with bread (e.g., toasted baguette, ciabatta, focaccia).
