Yesterday, BKEX listed Waves (WAVES), after making the following announcement on its website: “BKEX Global will list WAVES and list WAVES/USDT aggregate trading pair. The details are as follows: Opening time of trading: 15:00 12/23/2021（UTC+8 ).” And added this remark: “Because WAVES/USDT is an aggregate trading pair, the deposit and withdrawal function will not be opened currently. Please pay attention to the follow-up announcement for the opening time of deposit and withdrawal function.”
According to its website, Waves is “a community-based stack of decentralized open-source technologies to build scalable, user-friendly apps.” Besides, it is a multi-purpose blockchain platform which supports various use cases, including decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts. It was launched in June 2016 to improve on the first blockchain platforms by increasing speed, utility and user-friendliness. Based on proof-of-stake consensus, Waves aspires to make the most of blockchain, with minimal carbon footprint.
Waves technologies are supported by the Waves Association, a Berlin-based non-profit organization, which fosters Waves research, education, and provides grants for projects based on Waves stack. However, “Neither controlling nor leading lies in the hands of the association — Waves is built and maintained by the community.”
According to CoinMarketCap, Waves price today is US$16,50, with a 24-hour trading volume of US$140.409.496. The current CoinMarketCap ranking of WAVES is number 76, with a live market cap of US$1.765.850.041, it has a circulating supply of 107.035.024 WAVES coins and the maximum supply is not available.
