The contestants on the popular TV show American Idol sing and dance their heads out to make it to Hollywood. But this can of oil doesn't look like much of an entertainer. So how come thousands of cars are reverently crowding around it? It's probably because cars are useless without gasoline, which is made from oil. Millions of Americans rely on cars to get around, making oil a big seller in the United States. Some critics say that oil is so important that the United States is willing to go to war over it. They say President Bush wants to attack Iraq to gain better control of Persian Gulf oil. Do you think the cartoonist might agree with them? Why or why not?
